I realized it'll probably be a quiet year for me blog wise. This whole comic business is fun and stuff, but you do all this work, and you can't post it 'till the whole thing is finished! Unfair!!
Ah well, such is life. I've included a little teaser from the comic to keep myself from dying from a lack of attention.

Made this one as a part of an art test. I'm happy to report that it went well but that's all I can say for now. We're also finally working on the HippiePippiePocalypse pages! It's immensely fun and I can't wait to show everyone the results :D I wish i could draw faster and had more then just two properly working arms!

Both of these are collaborations with David Smit. It's pretty cool, we're getting a clearer and clearer idea about the style and how we're going to do this. Sadly we spent waaay more time on the first illustration then on the second. But anyway, all important characters have been introduced now. So yay ^^

I can draw great danes noaw! Which is good, because one of the HippiePippiePocalypse characters is a great dane. I spent yesterday morning practicing, and already this morning when I woke up, I felt I was much more familiar with dog anatomy.

So now I can finally introduce Owly, he's grey with a white spot on his eye. You'll see more of their antics soon!

Hiya!

I did a collab with the kickass artist Yasmin Sheikh, go check out her stuff!
I finally settled into my new workspace and it’s good to be productive again :D My last blog post might have sounded a bit gloomy.. that’s probably because I hadn’t been able to paint or draw anything for a looong time.. and apparently when that happens, I also lose my self esteem! Who would have thought!

Hi guys!

It's been a long time since I updated, and a lot has happened since then! I met Zombina and the Skeletones and gave Zombina the portrait I did of her. It was really fun! The show was awesome and there were dancing rockabillies everywhere. I got to hang out with them afterwards and was relieved to find out they are a laid back bunch, so that was cool.

Also, I moved from the Netherlands to Budapest, Hungary! I hope this will be a start to a great cosmopolitan life, changing country every 2 years or so until I'm old and boring :P

And remember the lil comic I was making? It took me a while to post it but here it is! :S It took so long because in hindsight I made many mistakes and it's kind of a vague story and probably the punchline is really odd and incomprehensible. But yea, failing is not new to me so why start feeling embarrassed now, right? So here's my little fuck up of a first comic. In case you're going to read it and you don't get it, here's the punchline: The building was a beauty school and those heads are these things are practice doll heads

I made a painting of Zombina from Zombina and the skeletones. I love their music and lyrics. It would be the perfect soundtrack for when Tarantino ever decides to make movies like 'From Dusk till Dawn' again. I could go on and on about how awesome I think they are, but here's a painting instead.

Last week i hanged out with DanisWorld
and had the privilege to watch her paint! Damn, I think it learned a lot from it!! We also did a colab but didnt get to finish it because stupid me hadnt slept in daaays so i was super slow :P
